Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada has been one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in a number of television series. The actress was born in Kabul in Afghanistan. Her family and she relocated to the US which they received asylum. The family lived as a child in Northern Virginia and is the third child with two older sisters. Ghanizada began her on-air camera career in the form of National Commercials. The Laura Neri film A Kiss on the Nose (2004) Ghanizada portrayed the main character of Chiara the performance of which she was awarded a film festival best actress nomination. The television shows she has appeared in include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars NUMB3RS The Wedding Bells Psych Castle and Castle. The most recent time she appeared was as a role as a support in the action science fiction film Blood Shot (2009) and the indie comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her acting career in 2008 when she was cast actor on General Hospital's primetime spinoff General Hospital. In season 2, Night Shift Ghanizada portrayed the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra a holistic doctor. Ghanizada was a part of Kelly, a Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage during 2009 and was cast as a character in the pilot television Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn as well as executive producer T Bone Burnett.
