Jessica Ellen Cornish (also known as Jessie J) is an English musician and singer. Known for her unconventional music sound, which combines soul vocals with pop, electropop and hip-hop, Jessie garnered much fame even at the age of. The awards she has won include the 2011 Critics' Choice Brit Award as well as BBC's Sound of 2011 as well as several nominations. She began her career at the young age of eleven when she was selected for the show "Whistle Down the Wind' by English composer Andrew Lloyd Webber. In 2002, she was a part in"The Last Sleepers," the "National Youth Theater" show "The late sleepers." It was the year 2011 when she released her debut studio album "Who You Are,' which came out on February 28. The album was an overwhelming success, selling 105,000 copies in the UK and 3,4000 copies within the US within the first week after its release. The album was also ranked 2nd place on the Charts of UK Albums, and number eleven in the US Billboard 200.
